ABCDE mole checklist for safer lesion tracking

The ABCDE checklist is a practical way to document visible mole changes over time. DermaTrack turns that checklist into a repeatable photo history and report.

DermaTrack is a personal screening and documentation tool. It is not a certified medical device and does not provide a medical diagnosis.

Asymmetry

Look for one half of the lesion not matching the other. A centered dermatoscope photo makes asymmetry easier to compare at the next scan.

Border

Document irregular, notched, fading, or poorly defined borders. Consistent image distance helps avoid false changes caused by camera angle.

Color

Track multiple colors, new dark areas, red or white zones, and visible color change between visits.

Diameter

Larger lesions and fast size changes deserve closer attention, but small lesions can still be clinically important if they evolve.

Evolution

Change is the strongest reason to create a timeline. Repeat photos, notes, and risk trend make the discussion with a dermatologist more concrete.
